Faculty: Dierdre D. Rockeymoore, MSN, RN, PMHCNS-BC, APRCNS has a vast background in psychiatric and behavioral health nursing and working with the elderly. She has taught in schools of nursing and has many years of practice in various settings. She is also approved by the Texas Board of Nursing to teach stipulation and remedial courses for nurses. Her roles have included staff nurse, consultant, adjunct faculty, advanced practice nurse, and administrator in various settings.

Learner Outcome: All nurses and healthcare providers will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of human trafficking and what strategies they can implement safely on behalf of the survivor. Nurses and healthcare providers will be able to describe the potential trafficker, discuss the health issues experienced by the victim, implement appropriate interventions, and will know laws, guidelines, and protocols they can use in the prevention of human trafficking.
